Graduated from the Medical School of Sohag University (Egypt) in 1995 and completed his Residency Training in Urology with an honor degree in 1999.
Joined his Fellowship at Heilbronn, Germany, in the field of Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery in 2003. In 2006, he became a Professor in the Urology Dept. Sohag University Hospital.
The main practice of Dr. Hammady is focused on minimally Invasive Surgery, including Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery in addition to flexible nephroureteroscopy and HOLEP.
Dr. Hammady has authored several Research Articles and Book Chapters, with a particular interest in Minimally Invasive Surgical techniques and new surgical innovations.
In December 2017, he was elected as Secretary General of the Arab School of Urology (ASU), and in 2020 as Arab Association of Urology (AAU) Executive Board Member.
